これまでに札幌市南区に住む高齢者を対象にインタビュー調査を実施し，路面凍結による転倒不安が外出困難につながっていることを明らかにした．本研究の目的は，調査した高齢者の住まいを対象に，玄関から敷地外に至るまでの住まいのアプローチ空間の構成を明らかにすることである．調査した住まいは，高齢者向け集合住宅，アパート，戸建住宅の3種類で，計8 件である．それらの住まいのアプローチ空間の構成を明らかにするために，アクソメトリック図および構成単位ごとに建築的空間要素と付加要素を抽出した空間構成チャートを作成し，アプローチ空間の構成と外出困難との関係を検討した．高齢者向け集合住宅は，アプローチ空間を全体的に捉えて計画している事例もあり，その点で居住者の外出に配慮しているが，駐車場は歩車分離がされていない．アパートも，歩車分離の必要性があるのに加え，付加要素の設置は管理者が行うことから，個人での対応が難しいと考えられる．戸建住宅は，敷地内に大きな高低差があるものと平坦であるものがあり，高低差が大きい住まいでは，〈段差〉とその他の構成単位との接続関係，または〈段差〉と道路境界線との位置関係が重要である．また，後から部分的に設置した付加要素には問題点が多く，アプローチを全体的に計画する必要性がある．一方，敷地が平坦な住まいでは，ほとんど付加要素が見られず，滑りづらい下部の素材の選択と統一感が重要である． |

This study examines residences that stretch from the front door to the outside end of the property. We examined eight examples of three primary types of housing; elderly oriented congregate housing, typical apartments, and single-family houses. We designed an axonometric map and a space units-specific spatial structure chart highlighting structural and additional elements to examine the difficulties experienced by the elderly as they enter or exit a dwelling or the approach area of their living quarters. Some elderly oriented congregate housing with a globally designed driveway exists. In these cases, difficulties of the residents in going out are considered. However, there is often no separate space for pedestrians and vehicles in the parking area. In the apartments examined, it is difficult to manage personal arrangements since the administrator installs such additional elements. There are structurally uneven houses and those with more levels in single-family houses. Elderly people find the following problems in navigation in the uneven type of house: (1) Connection of steps and other parts of the property. (2) Position and distance between the step(s) and the end of the property. Often, partial retrofitting poses problems later in multilevel homes with elements that assist the elderly. This is also why a global methodology for designing the approach area between public byways and the entrance to a residence to be elderly-friendly must be adopted. In contrast, additional elements in structurally leveled single-family houses almost go unnoticed, thus preventing slipping and falling as well as providing other solutions. |
